Samsung HT-X70 Home Theater Surround Sound System

The Samsung HT-X70 Home theater surround sound system offers some great features and total power of 1200 watts dispersed over a 5.1 system. Included is the DVD changer, AV receiver, 6 piece speaker system. Also comes with a remote control. The unit plays DVDs or music CDs, plays back MP3 files, JPEG viewer discs, DVD/Audio discs, WMA, WMV, DIVX Discs. It’s Video features an upscaled 1080i picture.
The audio processing includes Dolby digital sound, dolby Pro Logic ll, and DTS.
Other feature connections include HDMI-CEC, Wireless Ready, USB Host, HDMI inputs, HDMI Output, 2 Audio inputs, 1 Optical input, and a Headphone Jack. The built in tuner is also XM Satalite ready and also includes an FM tuner.
Another feature of this system is the USB Host which allows you to plug and play portable devices without loading software, using an enhanced progressive scanning technology.
The USB Host Play will allow music, video clips, photos to appear on your system thru the use of a ThumbDrive or USB external hard drive.
This system can be expanded to go wireless to achieve the surround sound experience without any need to run wires. This requires a Wireless TX Card and a wireless module to receive the signal.
On the video side there is a 5 disc changer that will hold movies or CDs or combination of both say if you have one filled with photos and want to leave it loaded to show friends or family occasionally.
Speaker setup includes Left and Right front speakers, Center speaker, Subwoofer and rear left and right speakers.
Samsung HT-X40
This is one of several Home Theater systems available through Samsung electronics. There are several HT series like the Samsung HT-X40 that plays back only one movie or CD. It has less wattage on the system, but basically all the same features if you don’t need the multi-disc changer. Some systems do not offer the XM tuner for instance. There are enough units to choose from and pick your desired features.
