Acoustic Research AW871 Wireless Speaker
The Acoustic Research AW-871 wireless speakers offer the convenience of portable sound and the quality sound that made Acoustic Research popular. This current model AW-871 replaces the Advent AW-870, this newer model features a cleaner, sleeker look and is now marketed under the Acoustic Research name. Like the Advent AW-870, this wireless system transmits through floors and walls up to 300′, enableing your music to be heard almost anywhere around your house. Independent amplifiers are built into each speaker providing10 watts RMS per channel. Internal drivers include a 1 inch  tweeter, the speaker providing your high sounds and 5 1/4 inch woofer which produces the bass and lower sounds.
System also features a high performance crossover network, which separates and blends the lower and higher parts of your sound. There are front control knobs for volume adjustments. The wireless speakers operate using the included AC adapters or 8 C batteries per speaker. The whole system package includes the two speakers, one transmitter plus three AC adapters and a headphone adapter plug.

These wireless speakers require line level (RCA plug or headphone plug) inputs and do not accept speaker wire inputs. They are compatible with surround sound receivers with line level outputs only for the surround channels.

* Weather-resistant: No…this means don’t leave out in the rain or store outside
* Woofer (diameter): 4 inch…Bass speaker for the lower sounds
* Warranty: 1 year parts and labor…nice to have some security with purchase
